iPAD BASICS

Prerequisites:
- Bring your iPad with the latest operating system installed.
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check and update your device if needed.
- Register for Tech Help the Tuesday before class for assistance with updating your device or resetting your Apple ID password if forgotten.
- Ability to use basic touchscreen gestures (tap, swipe, pinch)
- Have an Apple ID and password for accessing the App Store and iCloud
- Willingness to participate in hands-on practice during class
Objectives:
By the end of this class, participants will be able to:
- Connect an iPad to Wi-Fi
- Adjust settings, accessibility options, and Siri preferences
- Navigate the iPad using gestures such as swiping
- Customize the Home Screen and organize apps, widgets, and the Dock
- Use the Control Center to access shortcuts
- Search for and download apps from the App Store
- Use Spotlight to find apps, files, and information
- Ask questions and get answers using AI tools

In this class, you’ll learn the basics of using your iPad with confidence. You’ll practice connecting to Wi-Fi, adjusting settings, organizing apps, and exploring helpful tools like Spotlight search, the Control Center, and AI assistants.
